Reliance Jio Chairman & Founder Mr. MUKESH AMBANI who played a master-stroke in the field of wireless telecommunication by launching Jio for testing purpose in June 2016 and that too for free, until it was officially launched in the month of March 2017.

Can you imagine free unlimited 4G Internet, free unlimited voice calls and unlimited SMS not for a month or two, but for almost 10 months.

Jio then came up with plan that greatly affected other Service-Provider marketshare.

Now, this has not ended yet. Jio launched many products like Jiofi Hotspot Device, a device that allows Non-4G Handset to use Jio 4G service. It also collaborated with LYF-Mobile Company which launched Android based VoLTE phone, Range starting from just Rs.2999/-

Wait, I earlier said, Now get a Handset for free. MUKESH AMBANI at the company's 40th Annual Grand Meeting on Friday officially announced the most anticipated JioPhone. Earlier, a rumour spread that the JioPhone will be between 500 & 1500, but Ambani surprised everyone with JioPhone to be 'effectively free' that is Rs.0. He called this JioPhone as 'India ka Smartphone' that will reduce the digital gap and bring 'digital freedom' in India.

JioPhone testing start from August 15, 2017. JioPhone's pre-booking will start from August 24, 2017 and can be pre-booked using MyJio app or by visiting the Jio Retail Store. Interested users have to pre-book by paying a Refundable security deposit of Rs. 1500, which can be refunded after 3 years.

For JioPhone user, plans will starts from Rs.153 with unlimited data, voice and SMS, for 28 days.
